Clear the surrounding area and lay down a tarp. Remove tables, chairs, planters and any other object located near the brick wall.
Protect yourself before demolishing the brick water. Chips of brick can fly into the air as you knock down the wall. Safeguard your eyes by wearing safety glasses. Wear a hardhat, work boots and safety gloves.
Slam a sledgehammer against the brick to loosen and knock down the wall. Hold the sledgehammer with both hands as you hit the brick wall. Keep your knees bent to prevent back injury.
Shovel and clear the debris before removing the brick along the edges of the wall.
Chisel the remaining brick to complete the demolition. Put a cold chisel against the remaining brick. Keep the chisel in place with one hand, and with your other hand, hit the chisel repeatedly with a hammer. This breaks the remaining brick into smaller pieces.
