Slide the cover off your garage remote control that conceals the program button. Press the program button and hold it until the LED on your remote lights up, indicating that the remote is in program mode.
Press the Smart/Learn button located on your garage door opener main unit. You may need a to climb a ladder to reach the unit, depending on how low it descends form your garage ceiling and where on the unit the button is located.
Consult the remote manufacturer’s owner’s manual to determine the number of times you have to press the programmable button to select the type of opener that you’re programming the button for. Press one of the remote’s programmable buttons the number of indicated times, watch for the LED to stop flashing after you press the button each time before releasing it to ensure that the model code is accepted by the remote. The garage door opener unit will indicate acceptance of the code either by making a clicking sound, opening the garage door, or turning on the garage light.
Press the program button again, to accept the new programming and then test the button on the door by pressing it to open and close the garage door.
Take the remote to the second garage door, and repeat the programming process using the second button on the remote.
