Place the concrete mixer on a hard, level surface. Loosen the four lug nuts connecting the wheels to the machine with a 3/4-inch lug wrench or impact socket wrench. Do not remove the lug nuts, only loosen them at this time.
Ask your helper to lift the rear of the concrete mixer while you place jack stands under the frame beside each wheel. Pry the center axle hub cap off each wheel with a flat-head screwdriver. Set the hub cap on a clean surface.
Remove the lug nuts completely from the wheels. Grasp the wheels on opposite sides and pull the wheel away from the hub.
Line up the new wheel lug nut holes with the lugs on the wheel hub. Slide the wheel over the lugs and thread the lug nuts onto the lugs.
Ask your helper to lift the mixer enough that you are able to remove the jack stands. Once the mixer wheels are firmly on the ground, tighten the lug nuts completely with the lug wrench. Press the center axle hub cap back over the end of the axle until it locks in place.
