Sand the area of the crack with 220-grit sandpaper. Sand only in the direct area of the crack, and avoid sanding the glazed enamel coating of the sink around the crack.
Wipe the area clean with a damp rag, and allow the surface to dry thoroughly. If possible, plug in a hair dryer, and dry the area with the hair dryer on a medium heat setting.
Open up the two filler compound components in the repair kit. Mix the components together according to the instructions that come with the kit.
Apply the filler to the crack in a thin layer with a plastic putty knife. Once you apply the first thin layer, apply another thin layer. Continue adding the filler in thin layers until the filler rises above the surface of the crack.
Scrape the filler compound even with the surface of the Kohler sink with a razor blade. Allow the filler to dry for 24 hours.
Sand the crack repair lightly with a fine-grit sandpaper. Wipe the area clean with a damp cloth to remove sanding dust.
Apply glazing paint to the crack repair using the applicator in the bottom of the paint cap. Allow the glazing paint to dry for 24 hours before using the sink. Buff the repair area with a dry cotton cloth.
