# How to Remove Baldwin Door Levers
Since 1946, Baldwin Hardware has been handcrafting hardware for doors, cabinets and other fixtures in residential and commercial installations. Their line of door hardware includes levers in a wide variety of styles, materials and color combinations. The Baldwin door lever itself is held in place by a small screw on the side of the lever. Removing a Baldwin door lever involves loosening this screw so the lever can be slipped out of place.
Things You'll Need
- Hex wrench
- Screwdriver

Open the door containing the Baldwin door lever.

Place a block of wood between the edge of the door and the door frame. This will allow you to work on the Baldwin lever while the door is open.

Look on the side of the lever for the small hole for the handle screw.

Insert a hex wrench into the hole on the lever and turn counterclockwise until you feel the lever come loose.

Pull the lever off the stem by pulling it towards you.

Remove the dummy face plate, if present, by loosening the screws on either side with a screwdriver. Pull the face plate off the door.
