Place the seat cushion on the base of the chair, pushing the cushion toward the backrest until it cannot move any further.
Turn the chair upside down while having a second person assist you by holding the cushion in place. As it is turned upside down, have your assistant check that the cushion is pushed as far back toward the backrest as it will go and that the cushion is pushed firmly against the base.
Hammer the nails through the bottom of the chair and into the wooden base of the cushion. Use at least four nails, with one in each corner of the base.
Turn the chair over into its upright position.
Place the rear cushion against the backrest. It should rest on top of the seat cushion, flush against the backrest.
Hammer the nails, through the rear of the backrest, into the back cushion's wooden base. Use four nails, with one positioned in each corner.
Set the side cushions against the side rests, pressing them flat against the sides. Attach them to the sides by hammering nails through the side and into the wooden cushion base. Use four nails on each side piece, with the nails positioned in the corners.
