Measure the opening for the drawer. Subtract 1 inch from the entire measurement to allow for a 1/2-inch space on all sides of the drawer once installed. In this example, the opening space measures 12 inches wide, 14 inches tall and 12 inches deep. The final drawer will measure 11 inches wide, 13 inches tall and 11 inches deep.
Cut two plywood sidepieces measuring 10 1/2-by-13-by-3/4 inches. Cut a plywood front and back piece measuring 11-by-13-by-3/4 inches each. Cut a plywood bottom piece measuring 10 1/2-by-10 1/2-by-3/4-inch each. Use a circular saw to make your cuts. Sand the cut edges with medium-grit sandpaper.
Place a groove down the length of the drawer front using a router. Put the groove 1/2 inch in from the bottom edge, which is one of the 10 1/2-inch-long edges. Make the groove 1/2-inch deep and 3/4-inch wide.
Put two 13-inch routered grooves running perpendicular to the first. Place the second and third grooves 1/2 inch in from either side of the drawer front. Make the second and third grooves the same width and depth as the first groove.
Repeat Step 3 with the back piece. Place the three routered grooves in the same manner as the front piece, using the same depth and width.
Route a 10 1/2-inch-long groove down the length of both sidepieces. Place the groove 1/2 inch from the bottom edge of the sidepiece, making it 1/2 inch deep and 3/4 inch wide.
Squeeze a line of wood glue into all the grooves you routered. Insert the sidepieces into the 13-inch grooves on the front piece. Place the sidepieces so the grooves in it face in toward the opposite sidepiece and align with the 10 1/2-inch groove in the front piece. If necessary, use a rubber mallet to lightly rap the sidepieces into place.
Slide the bottom piece in between the two sidepieces, fitting it into the grooves on the sidepieces. Push it in until it fits into the 10 1/2-inch groove in the front piece. Slide the back piece onto the ends of the sidepieces and the bottom piece.
Wipe away any wood glue that has squeezed out using a clean rag. Let the glue dry overnight.
Attach a 10-inch ball bearing slide arm to the side of the drawer using the included hardware. Position the arm 1/2 inch below the top edge of the drawer. Repeat the process with a second arm on the other side of the drawer, using the same placement.
Measure 1 inch down from the top edge of the drawer. Attach the part of the drawer slide that attaches to the inside of the cabinet using the hardware included. Place one arm on either side of the cabinet.
Lift the drawer in place and slide the two ball bearing arms into the cabinet arms.
