Turn the handles located above the propane gas carrier and the pipeline control regulator. Revolve the external covering of the gas carrier in a counterclockwise motion and detach the existing regulator from the gas carrier. Ensure that the gas carrier is completely switched off because even the slightest leakage while you are working can cause an accident such as a fire.
Remove the connection of the hose pipes located near the regulator using pliers or a wrench. Reposition the hose pipes to the rear end of the grilling system. The gas controls are positioned at the exact backside of the grilling system and this is where the hose pipes should be reconnected. Revolve the attachments in a counterclockwise motion and detach the hose pipes.
Attach your newly purchased regulator by weaving the attaching parts through the openings of the gas control handles. There is only one handle for each gas control system. Secure them in this position by revolving them in a clockwise motion and ensure that they are very tight. Leaving them loose causes problems with your grilling system as you will not get consistent gas flow to your grill and also risk leakages.
Join the biggest gas control to the opposite side of the new regulator. Further attach this to the controlling switch located above the propane gas carrier. Secure this by twisting it in a clockwise motion and fixing it into position.
Rotate the handle located above the propane gas carrier. This should allow it to discharge and transfer gas within the regulator.
Add some water to a bucket, and pour liquid detergent into it. Mix well to create a soapy and bubbly lather. Immerse the sponge in the soapy solution and take it out. Squeeze the sponge onto the new regulator connection. If there is a bubbling or fizzy reaction, there may be a problem. Usually this is an indication of leaks within the connection. Inspect the connection properly and secure them by squeezing all connections shut if such an incident occurs.
