Installation of a Lee Gas Supply Line

Lee gas supply lines are flexible gas lines that are commonly used as extensions that run from a wall gas line to the device to which it is being installed, usually a gas-powered clothes dryer, gas stove or gas-powered fireplace. Because they are flexible, they can be installed in fairly close quarters if need be. When working with any natural gas line, caution should always be taken. Test the connection thoroughly after the line has been installed.

Instructions

    • 1

Have your local gas company disconnect your gas line at the meter while repairs are being made.

    • 2

Connect one end of the Lee gas supply line to the existing gas connection by screwing it on by hand. Tighten the supply line with a pipe wrench.

    • 3

Screw the other end of the Lee gas supply line to the appliance gas orifice. Tighten it with the pipe wrench.

    • 4

Allow the gas company to restore the gas to the home.

    • 5

Fill a small container with warm soapy water and apply the mixture to the connections. Inspect the connections very carefully. If there is any sign of bubbles, which means gas is escaping, contact the gas company immediately and ask them to return to inspect the line and advise how to move forward.
