Ask a salesclerk where you bought your carpet or the carpet remnant. They often offer in-house carpet binding services if you purchase carpeting from them.
Look in the telephone book for a carpet binding service. They have special machines that perform the carpet whipping or binding. Typically, they charge by the linear foot and the price is inexpensive.
Talk to a friend, relative or neighbor that is about to purchase new carpeting. Instruct them to ask the carpet installers if they know of someone who binds remnants as a living or hobby. Many people who have the special machines ask carpet store employees to pass out their business cards.
Contact an upholstery or a large fabric shop. Often they have carpet binding machines and technicians or know someone in that particular trade.
