Press the "Mode Select" button. Press "C" to select a program from the catalog. Select the program for cutting the floor tile size for the project. To manually enter a program, follow the waterjet manufacturer's instructions.
Press the "Mode Select" button once more. Press the "G" button to initiate the test sequence. The waterjet will run its course without the flow of water and display the path on the monitor. Press "Clear" when the cycle is complete.
Press "Cycle Start." If required, enter your name using the system's keyboard.
Turn on water jet valve #3 to fill the tank with water. Turn off water jet valve #3. Turn on water jet valve #1. Turn on water jet valve #2. Turn on the waterjet motor. The pressure control knob should be at its minimum position.
Insert the base plate into the waterjet chamber. It should fit snuggly. Tighten the clamps to secure the base plate. Insert the flooring material on top of the base plate. Place the mounting blocks on top of the base plate, making sure to not overlap the flooring material.
Press the "Start" button. Press the "Mode Select" button. Select "JOG" to jog the nozzle. Turn the knob inside the waterjet chamber to raise and lower the nozzle height. Position the nozzle so it touches the flooring material. Press "JOG" once more to reset the nozzle position.
Close the door to the waterjet chamber. Press the "Mode Select" button. Select "AUTO(1)." Press "Clear."
Enter the feed rate to a low setting. Set the "Abrasive" setting to "Auto." Set the "High Pressure" to "Auto." The settings for the machine are found in the instruction manual.
Move the pressure control knob to slowly increase the water pressure. Set the pounds per square inch to the manufacturer's specifications for the flooring material you are going to cut. In most cases, 35,000 Ksi will work.
Press "Cycle Start" to begin cutting the flooring material. The waterjet will run its program and cut the material to size. If needed, adjust feed rate to a lower level if the water flow is too great.
