Vacuum the floor around the pine pitch to remove dust and debris. You can also sweep the area with a hand-held broom and collect the dirt and dust in a dustpan.
Dip a rag in acetone and rub the top of the pine pitch glob in a circular motion. Blot the softened pine pitch with a separate rag.
Dunk the rag in acetone again and rub the pine pitch spot. Dab the pine pitch with the clean rag to transfer the pitch from the Pergo floor to the rag. Continue to alternate scrubbing the pine pitch with the acetone-soaked rag and dabbing soft pine pitch off until no pine pitch remains on the Pergo Floor.
Place the rags into bucket, basin or bowl filled with water immediately to prevent accidental combustion.
Dilute Pergo floor cleaner with water, according to the manufacturer's directions. Dip a sponge in the solution, squeeze out the excess and wipe the floor to remove acetone residue.
Lay rags around the perimeter of the pine pitch glob.
Spray laundry stain pre-wash treatment on the pine pitch. Let the pre-wash stand for five minutes.
Wet a nylon scrubbing sponge with water and wring out the excess, leaving the sponge damp.
Scrub the pine pitch glob with the sponge in small circular motions. Dab the pine pitch with a rag to pick up gooey pitch. Continue to scrub and dab the pine pitch until you remove all the pitch from the Pergo floor.
Add 1 tablespoon of household ammonia to a cup of warm water. Dampen a rag and wipe the floor to remove the laundry stain pre-wash treatment residue.
