# How to Remove Wood Floor Adhesive From Your Hands
Wood floor adhesive is a particularly aggressive adhesive that bonds strongly with anything it touches. It is difficult to use flooring adhesive when installing flooring without getting some on your skin and hands. Soap and water will not remove it, and letting it wear off over time is not always an option. A can of all-purpose lubricant spray, such as WD-40, will quickly remove the adhesive.

- Multipurpose lubricant spray, or WD-40

Shake the can of lubricant vigorously.

Spray your hands liberally with the lubricant and any affected skin until they are completely wet with the chemical.

Wait a few minutes until the adhesive becomes soft.

Wipe the adhesive off with a clean rag. If any adhesive remains, then spray again and repeat the wiping.

Replace the natural oil that the lubricant removed from your skin by rubbing in skin lotion.
