Instructions

    • 1

Spray the scratched area with a good amount of scratch-masking aerosol spray.

    • 2

Buff the area as aerosol spray dries with a clean cloth using a circular motion.

    • 3

Vary the amount of buffing to match the sheen of your existing flooring. If you over-buff the area, reapply the aerosol spray and buff the area again, but not as much. These sprays can reduce the visibility of scratches by up to 80 percent.

Repair small dents or chips by finding a laminate flooring touch-up kit with color-matched epoxy, putty or wax repair sticks to match the color of your flooring . Fill in the damaged area with a repair stick from the touch-up kit using a trowel.

Smooth out the area with a putty knife. Wipe away excess putty with a cloth before it dries. Keep off the area for a few hours until the putty hardens, at which point it can hold up to traffic like the rest of your laminate flooring.
