Clean your Quick Step flooring with soap and water and allow it to dry. This ensures that the tape you use over the boards will be secure.
Wrap the double-sided tape that comes included with the Unifix tool around the board end of the tool. You can purchase a Unifix tool directly from Quick Step or from your local hardware store.
Slice the ends of the tape to fit the width of the board.
Peel the protective layer off of the tape.
Place the tool along the wooden plank you would like to remove. The hinge at the board end will open and the board will flatten out over the wood. The adhesive on the board end will now be attached to the wood.
Step on the hinge and hit the rubber bumper on the tool with your hammer. Do this forcefully and it will separate the end joint on the plank.
Lift the tool up and turn it around. Place it back on the plank and hit the bumper again. This will separate the joint on the opposite end of the plank.
Remove the tool and place it horizontally across the plank nearest the wall. Make sure the board end of the tool connects at the seam where the plank you are removing meets its neighboring plank.
Hit the bumper with the hammer to pop the side of the plank out.
Move the tool down 12 inches and hit the bumper to pop the side out. Repeat every 12 inches until you have popped the side of the plank out.
Lift the plank out of the floor to remove it.
