Wood floors squeak when warping and buckling become so extreme that they cause the boards to rub up against one another. You can secure traditional hardwood floors by nailing through the wood floor and into the joist. This isn’t possible if you’ve installed your wood floor over a concrete floor. If this is the case, use powder that will lubricate the area between the boards without damaging the concrete.
