How to Repaint My Aluminum Sided House

Aluminum siding can last a long time. But over time, the elements can wear the paint off the siding, and you'll need to repaint it. Use a watered-down oil-based primer on the siding to block air and prevent rusting. Don't use latex primer; latex contains ammonia, which can eventually lead to premature paint failure on the aluminum siding. Cover the primer with two coats of acrylic paint. Work carefully to ensure the best result.
