Megger Testing Instructions

Megger is a company that manufactures lines of high-tech testing equipment for electronic devices. Their megohmmeter is a durable ohm voltage tester that can be used to test electronic devices and power lines. Even though the tester is designed for professional use, it can also be used by the average homeowner to test devices and power lines on his property. This can be completed in a matter of minutes.

Instructions

  Insert the included green (-) lead into the port marked "-" on the top of the Megger unit.

  Insert the red (+) positive lead into the port marked "+" on the top of the unit.

  Press the "Power" button on the front of the unit to turn it on.

  Switch the circular dial in the top-left corner of the unit to the amount of volts you would like to test.

  Touch the end of the green lead to a non-electrical surface in order to ground it.

  Touch the tip of the red lead to the power source you would like to test.
- 7
  Press the red "Test" button located next to the power switch. The display on the front of the unit will then produce a reading.
