How to Fix Chauvet LED Techno Repair

A Chauvet LED Techno strobe light is a rectangular strobe light consisting of several small LED bulbs. The bulbs function independently of one another, so that when a few bulbs burn out, the rest of the light will still work. Making basic repairs to the light consists of cleaning the light fixture so that the lights shine brightly and clearly, and replacing individual bulbs. Any additional, or more extensive, repairs are best left to the manufacturer, as changing the internal workings of the light will most likely void the warranty.

Instructions

  1. Cleaning

    • 1

Unplug the light from the power outlet.

    • 2

Vacuum any dust with a vacuum with a soft brush attachment.

    • 3

Wait for the bulbs to cool completely. Clean the light bulbs by spraying them with glass cleaner and wiping the surface with a lint-free cloth.

    • 4

Clean the external optical lenses every 20 days and the internal lenses every 60 days. You may have to remove the back cover of the light with a screwdriver to access the internal lenses. Clean both lenses using the above cleaning method.

    Replacing Bulbs

    • 5

Turn on the light. Note any dead bulbs. Mark the dead bulbs with a marker.

    • 6

Turn off the light. Remove the back plate of the strobe light using a screwdriver. Make sure the light is unplugged.

    • 7

Twist any marked bulbs out of place carefully using needle-nose pliers. Discard the bulbs.

    • 8

Fit the new bulbs in place, ensuring the two wires connected to the bulbs fit securely into the electrical base on the light. Screw the bulbs firmly into place using needle-nose pliers.

    • 9

Replace the cover and turn on the light to test the new bulbs. Replace any additional burned-out bulbs.
