Instructions

    • 1

Hold the breaker box in the desired location on the wall and ensure it is straight.

    • 2

Mark the screw holes onto the cement wall beneath the breaker box using a grease pencil. The grease pencil will make it easier to see your mark.

    • 3

Install a masonry drill bit the same size as the anchors being used into the chuck at the end of the drill. Some drills have a chuck that opens and closes with a key and some operate by hand. Open the chuck on your drill and insert the bit, tightening the chuck.

    • 4

Drill a hole on each one of the marks you previously made on the wall. Hold the trigger part of the drill in your dominant hand and place your other hand under the front of the drill. Hold the drill at a 90-degree angle to the wall's surface the entire time you are drilling. Back out the drill bit while it is still spinning to avoid damage to the hole's edge.

    • 5

Insert a cement wall anchor sized to the screws being used into each hole and tap them gently with a hammer to make them flush to the wall's surface.

    • 6

Place the breaker box against the wall and align its holes with the anchors.

    • 7

Screw pan-head screws sized to the breaker box holes through them and into the anchors beneath. Hand-tighten the screws and finish tightening them with an electric drill with a driver bit installed.
