Turn off the circuit breaker at the main electrical circuit for the outdoor Ground Fault Circuit Interrupt (GFCI), where you will install the Jacuzzi. Most Jacuzzi setups are 240 volts, so there are typically two 120-volt circuits tied together that you need to cut at the main circuit breaker.
Run flexible conduit from the outside circuit breaker out to the Jacuzzi's location. Secure the conduit along the sides of any outdoor structures and the deck around the Jacuzzi with clamps. If needed, drill holes in concrete and install anchors before securing the conduit with a clamp.
Feed fishing tape through one end of the conduit until it emerges from the other side. Tie a four-wire cable (black, red, white, green) to the fishing tape. Pull the fishing tape through the conduit, along with the cable.
Strip off about 1/2 inch of each colored cable using a wire stripper at the GFCI box end. Wrap the bare end of the white wire around the marked neutral bus bar inside the box and tighten the terminal screw to secure.
Repeat this process with the green grounding wire by securing it to the grounding terminal. Connect the black wire to the outgoing side of the GFCI terminal corresponding to the black wire on the incoming side. Repeat this process for the red wire.
Remove the Jacuzzi access panel with a screwdriver and take out any insulation. Locate the electrical access panel and remove the cover, if present. Connect the black wire to the terminal marked "L1" and the red wire to the terminal marked "L2."
Connect the white wire to the terminal marked "neutral" and the green wire to the green terminal or the terminal marked "ground." Replace the panel cover, insulation and access panel.
Switch on the power for the outdoor GFCI circuit at the main circuit breaker. Turn on the GFCI circuit if it is not already on.
