Remove the fuse or trip the circuit breaker that supplies electricity to the area where the Huntington ceiling fan has been installed. Test that the power is shut off by plugging a table lamp's power cord into a wall outlet in the area. Turn the lamp on to verify that the bulb does not illuminate because there is no electricity reaching the wall outlet.
Place a ladder beneath the Huntington ceiling fan. Remove the screws from the wall plate on the ceiling with a Phillips screwdriver. Pull the wall plate off the ceiling.
Loosen the screws on the electrical junction box that is inside the cutout in the ceiling with the Phillips screwdriver.
Strip a half-inch of insulation off the ends of the wires attached to the top of the fan with a wire stripper.
Wind the exposed ends of the wires from the fans around the screws on the electrical junction box in the following manner: the black wire around the black paint-coated screw; the white wire around the white paint-coated screw; the green wire around the green paint-coated screw. If the screws are not painted, the upper left screw on the electrical junction box is for the black wire, with the upper right screw for the white wire and the lower right screw for the green wire.
Place the wall plate back on the ceiling. Reattach the screws. Slide the activation switch on a top edge of the fan to the "On" position. Slide the rotation switch on a top edge of the fan to "Clockwise" position. Restore electric power to the area.
