Mark the piece of wood to be cut using the pencil and ruler. If the piece of wood is an awkward shape or long, clamp it to your work table or place it in the vise. If you use the vise, you may want to pad both sides of the wood with an old rag or piece of foam to protect the wood from damage from the pressure.
Install a wood-cutting blade on the Dremel. Turn the Dremel on the highest RPM setting and beginning at the top of the piece of wood, apply pressure to initiate the cut. Move down the pencil line slowly, applying more pressure as needed, to complete the cut. The Dremel's rotary method of cutting is designed to do the work with the user controlling the positioning and pressure.
Thick pieces of wood may require you to initiate a cut from the back side of the wood as well. If this is the case, simply turn over the wood and begin to cut as described in Step 2. Sand the finished edge of the wood if desired, depending on the application.
