Pallet Rack Styles

A pallet rack is simply a storage device for stacking pallets that hold specific items or certain materials. This storage unit is made of metal and enables pallets to be stacked in horizontal rows and up multiple levels, which makes it easier for forklifts to reach.
  1. Teardrop Style

    • Pallet racks are fairly easy to assemble and have the capacty to hold heavy loads.

      The teardrop pallet rack style is the most common one used today. This particular rack has a double row of teardrop shaped holes punched out that are adjusted in 12-inch increments. It's extremely easy to assemble and can be found to purchase through a variety of manufacturers. It's made to adjust to different height requirements depending on the customer's specific needs, and was developed for increased strength. Many of the teardrop style racks are used in warehouses, or even in the back of grocery or department stores to keep inventory on. This style of pallet rack isn't too expensive for the customer and will actually last a lifetime. It will also come with the manufacturer's warranty.

    T-Bolt Style

      The T-Bolt style rack for holding pallets is another popular design. This rack is actually the fastest rack to install, which makes it easy for someone who hasn't had a lot of experience assembling pallet racks. The T-Bolt racks have three inch vertical holes punched into them, and can be assembled by simply inserting the T-bolt heads directly into the beam connectors. The beams and columns lock into place with a simple one-quarter turn. On the front of each post is where the beams can be tightened, which makes is very easy for the consumer. These racks are extremely durable and resistant to corrosion. They can last for years.

    Keystone Style

    • Pallet racks enable stored items to kept on horizontal rows for easy access and visibility.

      The keystone style of pallet rack is another reliable storage rack commonly chosen by consumers. This rack has keystone shaped holes and locking clips that when assembled support the columns and beams. Since these particular racks have an interlocking style they are able to hold a higher load capacity. The most popular feature is its interchangeability with all other keystone storage racks.
