Combine 1 tsp lemon juice and 1 tsp Borax into a paste.

Apply the paste to cast iron tools with a sponge or cloth.

Allow the paste to set on the tool for up to 10 minutes.

Scrub the rust from the cast iron tool using a piece of fine-grade steel wool.
