Measure the length for the crown moulding piece.
Mark the piece of crown moulding to the appropriate measurement from Step 1 with a pencil.
Place the crown moulding into the miter box. Line up the mark with appropriate miter box slot: right 45 degree angle, straight or left 45 degree angle.
Slide the saw into the miter box slot; draw the saw back and forth to cut the crown moulding.
Remove the crown moulding and dry-fit the pieces together in your pattern. Make sure the angles meet up correctly.
Cut the inside and outside corners with coping saw as necessary to achieve a snug fit.
Place the moulding on its face. Lay the moulding on a strong, flat surface.
Measure the adhesive tape to the piece of moulding. Cut the adhesive tape with a pair of scissors.
Pull back one small section of backing on the adhesive tape. Stick the exposed piece of tape to the moulding. Slowly remove the adhesive backing and stick the tape along the moulding.
Remove the backing on the adhesive tape that will stick to the wall or cabinet surface. Carefully hold the moulding to the surface; make sure it is level and stick it onto the surface.
Press on the moulding along the area of the adhesive tape to ensure the tape has good contact onto the surface.
