How to Cut Crown Molding Flat on a Compound Miter Saw

Crown molding projects often require several different types of cuts to properly install the molding. A cutting process known as the flat method is common using a compound miter saw. The flat method provides instruction for cutting both the inside and outside corners of crown molding. Additionally, cuts are either right or left for the crown molding. If you do not have a compound miter saw you will be able to hire them from most equipment rental stores.
