How to Splice Crown Molding

Crown molding is the decorative trim found around rooms in your home. If your home does not have crown molding, you can install it to improve the décor of your home. Crown molding often comes in specific lengths. Common lengths include 8- or 12-foot-long pieces. Unfortunately, these lengths may not be long enough to go around the walls in your home. When installing the crown molding, you will need to splice the molding to create a uniform look to the molding and hide seams in the molding.
