Woodworking Workshop Tools

Woodworking tools are found in the workshops of professional and non-professional carpenters alike. These tools generally cover all the basics for performing woodworking functions, such as cutting, drilling and sanding wood.
  1. Table Saw

    • Table saws are used for cutting large pieces of wood such as wood board planks. There are six basic cuts that a table saw performs: crosscut, rip, miter, cross bevel, rip bevel and compound miter.

    Drill Press

    • A drill press is used for drilling precise holes into wood for a professional look. The drill press has adjustable drill bit attachments, which drill various-sized holes in pieces of wood depending on the project and size needed.

    Disk Sander

    • A disk sander is a machine with attachments for sanding wood. The disk sander comes with sandpaper attachments with three garnet grits: coarse, medium and fine. The type of sanding to wood depends on what type of grit is used. Some wood will require less or more sanding.
