Plastic screw holders, or wall anchors, are used when screwing into drywall. A hole is drilled into the wall, a wall anchor is inserted and then a screw can be screwed into the wall anchor to hold the screw into place. If you are removing a screw from your wall and want to patch the hole, you must first remove the wall anchor. Removing a plastic wall anchor does not require much effort and you can accomplish it in a minute or two.
