Lay a 3 x 5-foot piece of ¾-inch plywood sheeting on a flat solid surface. Using 80- to 100-grit sandpaper, sand the plywood sheet edges lightly to remove any rough edges that may result in skin splinters.
Hot glue two long strips of Velcro to the top of each sawhorse with a glue gun. Place each strip 12 inches in from each end. Make sure you have the Velcro facing correctly in order to wrap around the top of the sawhorse. You are creating straps on each end of each sawhorse to secure the folding legs during storage.
Place each sawhorse upside down on the plywood sheet 1 to 2 feet in from the edge of the 3-foot-long plywood sheet sides. Open the folding legs of the sawhorse before attaching to the plywood to make sure the legs will not extend out beyond the plywood. Adjust as necessary. Center the sawhorses between the two 5-foot sides. Screw each metal folding sawhorse to the bottom side of the plywood sheet, following the manufacturer's instructions. These sawhorses are approximately 30-inches high, weigh only about 10 pounds and come with a pre-drilled surface for mounting to the plywood sheeting.
Fold the sawhorse legs and secure with the Velcro straps when not in use.
