Position the Hitachi C12LSH power saw in your preferred position on the workbench. Carefully look at the underside of the workbench top and make sure there are no obstructions directly under the mounting holes. One mounting hole is positioned behind the saw with two more positioned on either side.
Insert a pencil into each of the mounting holes and draw a circle to mark the drilling locations. Move the Hitachi saw out of the way.
Insert an 11/32-inch drill bit into the drill and lock it in place. Plug the drill in.
Align the drill bit in the center of one of the circles you drew and slowly drill through the workbench. If you feel your progress hindered, pull out while still drilling to pull excess saw dust, and then continue. Do this for each of the three holes.
Align the mounting holes on the Hitachi saw with the holes you just drilled. Slide a 5/16-inch bolt through each of the mounting holes and push them through the workbench. The bolts need to be at least 1-9/16 inches in length, plus the width of the workbench. As an example, a 1-inch thick workbench requires bolts 2-9/16 inches in length.
Screw a 5/16-inch nut on each of the mounting bolts using a clockwise direction and tighten them with an adjustable wrench.
Loosen the 6mm bolt on the holder adjustment and slide the holder until its bottom touches the workbench. Tighten the 6mm bolt down using an adjustable wrench to complete mounting.
