How to Laminate Sheets of Plywood Floor

Measure the plywood pieces with a tape measure to verify they are all equal size and thickness with each other. Cut down any larger sections with a circular saw to get all the pieces uniform.

Wipe down the plywood pieces with a damp rag to remove any sawdust, dirt and debris. Dry the wood with a towel when you're finished and then wait an hour for the wood to air dry completely before continuing.

Mix a urea-formaldehyde plastic resin powder with cold water in a two to one solution. This creates a water-resistant glue that remains pliable for up to four hours.

Apply the liquid resin to the first piece of plywood using a paintbrush until the entire piece is uniformly covered. Stack the second piece on top of the first and then coat it as well. Continue until all the pieces are stacked on top of each other. Leave the top board and the bottom of the first board dry so you can clamp the pieces together.

Tighten c-clamps around the stack of plywood to keep the pieces tightly lined up together as the resin dries. Remove excess resin from the side of the plywood by running a dry paintbrush over it to spread the excess over the sides so it is uniform. Leave the stack there overnight before removing the clamps.

Coat the top of the plywood with fresh resin solution once the clamps are off if you want the protective finish on it. This depends on how you want to use the laminated plywood.
