How to Remove Cabinets With Bulkheads Over an Island

Cabinets that hang over an island in your kitchen are attached into the bulkhead above the cabinetry. During a remodel, you can remove the bulkhead if you desire, but just to remove the cabinets, you do not need to remove or make any changes to the bulkhead. The removal will not take much time and should not cause any damage to the bulkhead, as the cabinets are held into place with screws. Afterward, you can patch up any screw holes left behind in the bulkhead and paint over the patches.
