How to Correct a Wall After It Was Painted With Dark Spots

Dark spots on a painted wall aren't simply a product of poor artistry -- they are indicative of mold and mildew. If you attempt to simply paint over the spot, even if you prime it first, the mold can and will return. You must first kill the mold, then allow any excess moisture to dry before repainting. Only by doing this can you both cover the dark spots and protect your wall from their return.
