Clip a 1/2-inch screw washer to each clip. The washers designed to fit a screw have sides that angle down. This angle fits securely into the teeth of the clips.
Insert a drapery pin hook into the back of each pleat so the hook is 1/2 inch below the top of the curtain. Insert a hook at each end of the top of the curtain in the same way.
Hang the rings and insert a hook in each ring.
Position the eyelets so they are parallel to the rings.
Insert an eyelet between the folds in the center of one pleat so that the top edge of the bottom of the ring is even with the top edge of the fabric. Center the eyelet between the front and the back of the pleat.
Sew the eyelet to the pleat with a needle and upholstery thread. Thread the needle and knot the ends of the thread together. Stitch through the pleats on each side of the eyelet, starting below the eyelet. Turn the needle and bring it back through the eyelet over the top edge of the fabric. Make eight stitches this way. Knot the thread close to the fabric.
Sew a ring to each pleat.
Turn the eyelet on two rings perpendicular to the ring. Position these eyelets against the back side of the curtain 1/8 inch from each end of the top edge. Sew these rings on in the same way you attached the other rings.
