Hanging a Wood Blind Valance With Clips

More substantial than standard vinyl blinds and possessing a richer appearance, wood blinds can cover windows with elegant style. A special valance piece runs along the tops of your blinds to provide a finished heading for the window coverings. Hanging a wood blind valance with clips will install the valance over the blinds and hold it there securely to finish the window decor.

Instructions

    • 1

Insert one clip into the back side of the valance at the right edge. You should find a groove or a slot where the clip snaps into the valance. Insert the other clip into the back side of the valance at the left edge.

    • 2

Rotate each valance clip 90 degrees after snapping them into place securely. The clips should lock into place after you rotate them.

    • 3

Snap the valance clips into the headrail of the wood blinds. Various wood blinds have different designs, but you should find a slot or groove in each clip that fits onto the headrail. Push the clips firmly onto the headrail to finish installing the valance over the wood blinds.

Slide the valance clips along the headrail, if necessary, to ensure that they do not interfere with the blind cords or tilter wand.
