How to Mount Bali Vinyl Blind Mounts

Because Bali vinyl blinds are composed of a heavier grade of vinyl, they are more durable than less expensive brands. Whether you choose one of the many styles of vinyl blinds or their aluminum or faux wood counterparts, Bali blinds are mounted in a similar manner. If you hang mini blinds inside the window frame, you need at least 1 inch of extra room to install them. That restriction doesn’t apply if you hang vinyl blinds outside the window frame.

Instructions

    • 1

Mark the location where you wish to install the mounting brackets. Ensure the brackets won't interfere with the mechanism that raises and lowers the shades. Select the location of the center brace mount if you're installing a wide blind.

    • 2

Drill pilot holes at the marked locations.

    • 3

Attach the brackets to the window frame, using the screws included with the blinds. The brackets often have several holes, some of which are slotted, to give you some leeway as you place the brackets in their designated locations.

    • 4

Slide the Bali mini blinds into the brackets. Snap the bracket door closed to secure the blinds.

    • 5

Snap the two valance clips onto the front of the blinds. Slide the valance piece into the valance clips.

    • 6

Hook the tilt wand onto the blinds. Unwrap the pull cords and release the blinds to their full length.

    • 7

Measure and mark the location of the hold-down brackets if you plan to install them. Insert the screws into the brackets to secure them, then snap the blinds into the brackets.
