How to Hang Sheer Linen Drapes Using Drapery Rings

Drapery rings add a subtle design touch as part of window your treatment, your window and your room and they slide much easier than curtain tabs or rod pockets do. Use drapery rings that coordinate with your curtain rod, finials and other hardware in the room. Place the rings on your sheer linen drapes for a pulled-together style. Compensate for the space the rings occupy by placing the curtain rod high enough so the curtains align with the top of the window.

Instructions

    • 1

Attach drapery rings to the tops of the sheer linen drape pleats. Clip the drapery rings a half inch down from the top of the pleats so the curtain will hang evenly along the top and bottom.

    • 2

Clip rings at even intervals across the top of the sheer linen curtain if the panel is not pleated. Lay the drape flat on a table, using a tape measure to evenly space rings to create even folds and to prevent sagging.

    • 3

Thread the drapery rings onto the curtain rod. Attach the curtain rod to its brackets. Adjust the curtains with the rings evenly spaced along the curtain rod.
