Tape off the mirror section of the doors to protect them. Clean the brass edging and handles with a degreaser and sponge to remove dirt, oils and waxes. This is important, because otherwise the primer can't work and then the paint won't stick.
Brush metal etching primer over all of the brass hardware. Let the primer dry completely.
Brush enamel over the primed surface. Let this dry and then add another coat. This second coat helps the paint last longer. Let this dry, then remove the tape from the mirror.
Tape off the enameled trim with low-tack painter's tape. It is essential to let the paint dry completely first. Otherwise, even low-tack tape will cause the paint to peel. Clean the glass with rubbing alcohol and a clean rag. This ensures maximum paint adhesion.
Paint the mirrors using glass paint. You can use multiple colors to create a fresh design for the room or a color that coordinates with the wall paint. Let the paint dry completely.
Add another coat of paint, if desired. Or, if you are painting on a design, add finishing touches or details. Let it dry thoroughly.
