How to Remove the Bottom Sash on a Larson Door

Larson doors include a three-track design that includes a top and bottom glass sash that can be used to adjust the windows in the door. The glass sash is a piece of glass inserted within the door frame. You can only reach the inside portion of the glass by fully removing the sash from the door. Once you remove the bottom sash, you can clean it or replace the glass if it's broken.

Instructions

    • 1

Shut your Larson door and locate the bottom sash from the inside of the door.

    • 2

Press down on the finger-pull latches on the bottom sides of the sash glass.

    • 3

Grasp the bottom of the sash and pull it out to a horizontal angle.

    • 4

Tilt the glass sash to the left to remove the top tilt keys from the window's track sash.

    • 5

Pull out the glass sash all the way. With the sash removed you can clean it with glass window cleaner.
