How to Make Fun Zebra Wall Art

Zebra patterns are one of the simplest animal prints to design and paint yourself, and a zebra-print wall hanging makes a wild statement in any room. There are several different ways to personalize zebra wall art to make it unusual. While a zebra print may just be black and white, the wild animal motif ensures that you don't need color to keep your walls interesting.

Instructions

    • 1

Design the shape of your zebra wall art. A basic square or rectangle art canvas is readily found at any art supply store, but you can also use a wooden initial or shaped block. Art and craft supply stores also sell inexpensive three-dimensional cardboard initials or other shapes.

    • 2

Paint the canvas, wood or cardboard shape entirely white using acrylic paint. Allow to dry completely.

    • 3

Trace stripes on the white paint with a pencil. Use a picture of a zebra for a reference. Zebra stripes are irregular, so you do not need to make an exact match.

    • 4

Paint the stripes black with black acrylic paint. Allow to dry completely.

    • 5

Hang your zebra art on your wall.
