Cut four rectangles from a sheet of plywood using a circular saw to measure 18 inches wide and 72 inches long.
Sand the four boards using medium-grit sandpaper to remove any splintering or roughness.
Paint the boards using latex paint, then allow the boards to dry for four to six hours.
Lay the four boards onto a flat surface, lining up the edges.
Place three brass elbow hinges along the seam in between two of the boards, then place three more elbow hinges along the seam in between the other two boards. Space out the hinges evenly. Screw the hinges in place using a screwdriver.
Turn the two pairs of bifold doors over, and place three door hinges along the two outside edges. Space out the hinges evenly. Screw the hinges in place with a screwdriver.
Attach one spring slider knob caster onto the top and bottom edges of both bifold door pairs, placing the casters 1-inch to the side of the middle seam where the two door pairs meet.
Attach a caster mount inside the top and bottom edges of the doorway you want the bifold door pairs to be.
Place the bifold door pairs upright against the doorway, making sure that the folded edges are positioned to fold outward. Screw the hinges against the doorway wall.
Push the spring-knob casters down and insert them inside of the caster mounts. This enables the casters to slide as the bifold doors are opened and closed.
