How to Hang an Ikea Ribba Frame

Single Frame

  Place your frame up against the wall you plan to hang it on. Align the frame slightly higher than you want it.

  Take an erasable marking tool, such as a pencil, and make a small mark in a horizontal line on each side of the frame. Remove the frame from the wall.

  Take a ruler and place it between the two marks. Make a third mark at the center of the ruler. Erase the other two marks.

  Hammer a nail three-fourths of the way into the wall on the center mark. Hang the metal wire of the RIBBA frame across the nail and adjust the frame until it is centered on the wall.

  Fasten a small wood screw partially into a a paint stir stick, about 1/4 of an inch from the bottom of the stick. Don't fasten it too far or you wont be able to get the stick close enough to the wall.

  Place the stir stick vertically against the wall with the sharp end of the screw facing the wall. Hang the RIBBA frame over the screw.

  Adjust the frame up or down until it's exactly where you want it.

  Hold the stir stick steady and remove the frame. Push the screw into the wall to create a mark.

  Hammer a nail into the mark and hang your first frame.

  Repeat the process, using the first hung frame as a reference for lining up your other frames on the stir stick.
