Review the documentation and parts from the Smith+Noble package to ensure you have everything for installation.
Measure 2 1/2 inches inward from top edge of the window frame if installing an inside mount. This means the blind will hang along the inside of the frame. Place the bracket with the long side flush to the top of the window sill and secure it with the screws. Repeat the process for the second bracket.
Hold the blinds centered over the window for an outside mount if it is almost flush with the wall. Make a mark on the wall for each end of the head rail with a pencil. The head rail is the top bar of the blinds. Draw a short mark along the bottom of the head rail on each side as well. Install the brackets with the short side against the wall over the window. Place each bracket 2 1/2 inches outward from the vertical pencil mark and level with the horizontal one. Repeat the process with the second bracket.
Insert the head rail into both brackets. Push backward until you feel the blinds pop into place.
Pull the cord to raise and lower the blinds. If properly installed, the blinds should not move around in the brackets.
