Run an electronic stud finder over the wall where you want to hang the platter until it lights up, signaling the location of a stud. Mark the exact spot on the wall lightly with a pencil.
Drill a 1-inch-deep hole through the pencil mark on the wall using a 1/4-inch drill bit.
Position the pointed end of a plastic wall anchor in the drilled hole. Drive the anchor into the hole with repeated taps using a rubber mallet, until its opening falls flush with the wall surface. Drive a 1-inch screw into the anchor until 1/4 inch protrudes from the wall.
Lay the ceramic platter face down on a table and set the spring-loaded, H-shaped plate hanger vertically over its middle. Ensure the hanger is directly over the center back of the platter, or it won’t be level when installed. If required, reposition the hanger so it falls over the center.
Pull both the curved hooks along the top of the hanger upward and over the top rim of the platter. The hooks firmly grasp the upper edge of the platter.
Extend the two lower hooks of the hanger down and over the bottom rim of the platter.
Lift the platter and turn it so its back faces the wall. Position the screw hook located at the back of the hanger over the screw head in the wall. Step back, check that the platter is level and make adjustments as necessary.
