Open your project in Revit and switch to either a 3D or elevation view of your wall to place a single wall sweep. Click the home tab and select build panel from the drop-down menu. Next select wall drop-down from the build panel menu and then click the wall sweeps option.
Click the type selector button at the top of the the properties palette and select the type of wall sweep that you want to apply at the top of your wall.
Open the modify menu and select the place wall sweep drop down menu. In this menu select the placement panel option and then set the orientation of your wall sweep to horizontal or vertical.
Choose the exact position for your wall sweep at top of the wall using the cursor. After applying the first wall sweep, the program automatically prepositions wall sweeps on adjacent walls. Click each wall at the indicated spot to apply a wall sweep to each wall that needs one. Click the modify button to finalize the placement of your wall sweeps.
Select the angle for the ends for your wall sweep using the returns option. Switch to a 3D or elevation view and select the segment of wall sweep you just placed. Open the modify wall sweeps tab and select the wall sweep panel drop-down menu, then click the modify returns option.
In the options bar, select straight cut to create a square edge at the ends of your wall sweep. Select return in the options bar and enter a number greater than 1 to angle the end of the wall sweep toward the wall. Select the end of the your wall sweep and click apply to add the return value you entered to your wall sweep.
