How to Install an Expo Bulletin Board

A dry erase product such as an Expo bulletin board allows you to write on the wall without leaving a permanent mark. The Expo boards require specialty markers. The markers wipe off the surface of the board with little effort and avoid leaving a stain. Board designs vary, but they can be made of metal or laminate. Regardless of the style, size or format of your Expo dry erase board, basic installation procedures will be the same.

Instructions

    • 1

Measure the distance between the brackets on the back of the board. Expo boards come with two sets of mounting brackets; one fixed onto the board and one you secure on the wall. By measuring the distance between the brackets, you know where to place the wall pieces.

    • 2

Mark two spots on the wall using the distance measurement from the board. For example, if the brackets on the back of the board are 12 inches apart, set the marks on the wall 12 inches apart as well.

    • 3

Drill holes where you mark the wall and install the wall brackets. After drilling the holes, hold the brackets in place and install them with the screws provided in the mounting kit.

    • 4

Slide the fixed brackets on the back of the board over the wall mounts to hang the board. Use a level to ensure the wall brackets are even if necessary.
