This design allows you to make an attractive vase out of used cans, recycling your trash into an attractive table centerpiece. Instructions

    • 1

Clean the inside of the can thoroughly with soapy water. Any residual sediment from the prior contents could potentially be harmful to your plants.

    • 2

Cut a swatch of chicken wire, ball it up and insert it into the can. The wire will help the flowers remain sturdy and upright.

    • 3

Cut a strip of birch bark, as tall as the can and as long as the can's diameter.

    • 4

Apply glue to the outside of the can, then wrap the birch bark around the exterior of the can.

    • 5

Fill the bottom of the can with water to keep your flowers fresh.

    • 6

Insert the flowers through the chicken wire and down into the water at the bottom of the can.
