How to Use Flower Pots for Table Decoration

Flowerpots work well as table decorations. Paint a design on a flowerpot. The design can be just a color or a picture. Make the design fit the time of year or keep it neutral. Fill the flowerpot with fake flowers to add more color to a room. Swap out the flowers depending on the time of year. For example, use poinsettias at Christmas time. The benefit of a flowerpot decoration is that it’s simple and fits everyday needs.

Wipe the table down with a rag and furniture polish to remove dust and dirt.

    • 10

Set a mat, doily or other decorate piece of cloth where you want the flower pot to sit. The cloth protects the table from scratches from the flower pot.

    • 11

Set the flower pot on top of the cloth. The weight of the flowerpot should keep the cloth from moving.
